From Choir Performances to Calligraphy Practice
This page consolidates my two categories of artistic specialty experiences: one is the sustained participation during the first three semesters of university inchoir training and performances at the Zhejiang Provincial University Student Art Festival,and the other is calligraphy practice and portfolio accumulationthat has continued from junior high school to the present. For me, these are not merely labels on a résumé; they reflect the patience cultivated through long-term training and naturally extend to the testing and analysis of my own calligraphy works in a subsequent Digital Image Processing course.
Overview
Choir Participation
During the first three semesters of university, I consistently participated in choir training and performances. This was not a one-time activity but involved continuous collective rehearsals and stage practice over three consecutive semesters.
Provincial First Prize and Bonus
Participated in performances related to the Zhejiang Provincial University Student Art Festival and won the provincial first prize. The university issued a bonus of 1,500 RMB to each participating member.
Calligraphy and Engineering Extension
Although the Calligraphy Level A Certificate was obtained during junior high school, I still practice calligraphy in my spare time. These works were later brought into my DIP course for processing and testing.
Choir Experience
My choir experience spanned the first three semesters of university. Compared to short-term participation, this experience was more like a regular collective training: continuous rehearsals, vocal part coordination, formal performances, and ultimately yielding results in activities related to the University Student Art Festival.

University-Issued Performance Bonus
The university issued a bonus of 1,500 RMB to each participating member. This serves as supplementary information regarding the provincial first prize achievement and is not repeated by semester.

Calligraphy Grade A and Continuous Practice
The Calligraphy Level A Certificate was obtained during junior high school, so I do not present it as a new honor earned during university. However, this skill has not remained in the past; I still practice calligraphy and organize my works in my spare time, thus retaining the possibility of extending it into other courses and projects.
Calligraphy Works and DIP Relevance
These calligraphy works were not confined to the level of "interest display." Instead, I further incorporated them into the *Digital Image Processing* course, using them as original samples for segmentation, denoising, mask extraction, and visualization testing. Because the materials originated from my long-term practice, a natural connection was formed between this course's experiments and this page of artistic experience.
Authenticity of Sample Sources
Some of the calligraphy images used in the course were not randomly selected public materials but were directly taken from my own works preserved from daily practice.
Extension of Interest into Engineering
This allowed "artistic expertise" to no longer remain an independent section but to further participate in the image processing experiments and analytical workflows of subsequent courses.
